What is genYus?
genyus is a new organisation that facilitates influential dialogue with decision and policy makers alike, putting young people at the heart of that process. We support individual empowerment by enabling government Ministers, their Officials and departments to learn from the experiences of the young by engaging in meaningful consultation, with an agenda driven by Generation Y.
Are you a genYus?
We seek the opinions of, and encourage the involvement of all UK citizens between the ages of 18-30, regardless of their economic or social position. Our services are free to them.
To empower them to shape their future. To create an inclusive society that is built with the aspiration of achievement as its hallmark, through influencing its governance with the development of sustainable policies.
Objectives
genyus has been formed to fulfil a specific need - to be the forum for dialogue and policy delivery between young people and policymakers.

To enable young people of all walks of life to have a greater say and stake in their future as UK citizens.
Making “Generation Y” a priority voice to be listened to by policy makers is our ultimate goal.
What will be delivered
We will establish a new model of policy consultation, which will be driven by young people for young people. This will involve:
Organising policy polling
Providing policy input directly to Ministers and Officials
Staging Events exploring specific themes or topics
Developing a regional structure to ensure that the views and opportunities are representative
Facilitating Networking Receptions
Initiating discussion and lead debate on issues of future importance
genyus will:
- Influence policy formulation amongst an increasingly important Demographic
- Deliver the highest level of interaction between policy makers and young people for public benefit
- Enable young people to contribute directly to future policy developments that affect themselves and other citizens
- Ensure greater continuity in policy making
- Facilitate mutual cooperation amongst young citizens on topics they feel are relevant
- Create greater opportunities for development amongst this peer group
